65 immigration judges have already been fired—mostly just via email with no warning.

One colleague was in a hearing on July 14th via Webex. The judge showed up, then suddenly said, “I can't handle this,” and left. Turns out, he’d been summarily terminated.

They searched across the entire country for another judge that day—none were available. So the hearing had to be rescheduled.

Fewer judges mean longer waits and worse conditions for detainees, pushing many to self-deport.

This firing spree is part of Trump's plan to slow down immigration hearings, not speed them up, and replace judges with highly conservative ones likely to deny asylum claims. The system’s becoming a nightmare for due process.
