China Just Pulled the Plug—and the U.S. (and Elon Musk) Are the Ones Getting Shocked
China has just suspended exports of critical minerals and magnets—the stuff that makes everything from Teslas and drones to fighter jets and missiles actually work.
These rare earth materials are non-negotiable for automakers, semiconductor manufacturers, aerospace giants, and yep—the U.S. military. And now? They're stuck at Chinese ports, while Beijing installs a “new regulatory system” that could permanently block shipments to the U.S.
Why? Retaliation.
Specifically, retaliation for Donald Trump’s new round of tariffs that kicked in on April 2nd.
So to recap:
Trump launched a trade war revival.
China responded by cutting off access to minerals we literally need to function.
Now Elon Musk can’t make cars, defense contractors can’t make missiles, and the U.S. can’t build its tech without jumping through Chinese hoops.
It’s like setting your own house on fire and then yelling at the smoke for not being patriotic enough.
Trade war chess? More like tic-tac-toe with a sledgehammer.
