El Salvador's New Role in America's Immigration Drama: A “Safer” Paradise?

So, here’s a twist you didn’t see coming—last week, the State Department upgraded El Salvador’s travel safety rating to a Level 1. That’s right, Level 1, the safest of the safe.

And for comparison, guess who has a Level 2? Countries like England, Sweden, and France. So, apparently, it’s now safer to vacation in El Salvador than in Paris, London, or Stockholm. Sounds like something is off, doesn’t it?

Now, here’s where it gets even weirder. El Salvador just signed on to the U.S. immigration plan—the one that involves sending people back from America to El Salvador, which, let’s be real, is a first. What a coincidence! A country that just agreed to accept our prisoners and our money suddenly gets bumped up to "safer" than Europe?

It doesn’t stop there. El Salvador's self-proclaimed "coolest dictator"—yeah, you read that right—decides to pay gang leaders to stop killing people, and when that failed, he just decided to skip the whole legal system thing and start door-to-door arrests. Guess what? Crime dropped. But at what cost?

You can probably guess why Trump loves this guy. He’s a “cool” dictator who doesn’t believe in the due process most of us still pretend matters. But now, thanks to some strategic moves, it’s becoming clear that El Salvador is a little too eager to do America’s bidding—and America’s government seems eager to turn a blind eye to the consequences.

So, here’s the big question:

Is El Salvador truly “safer” now, or are they just playing a long game with the U.S. government? Either way, they’re getting our prisoners, our money, and now... our tourism approval

But hey, at least it’s not Paris, right?
