Lawmakers Just Invented a New Game: “How Far Can You Drive While Dying?” 🚨

Welcome to Fleming County, Kentucky, where the local hospital is this close to shutting down. No worries though — there’s another hospital… just 27 miles away.

Except — plot twist — that one’s also scheduled to close.

So here’s the new healthcare plan:

Stroke? Better hope you packed a lunch.

Heart attack? Throw it in drive.

Premature labor? Congrats, it’s now a road trip.

Thanks to this brilliant new bill, 35 hospitals are already on the chopping block in Kentucky alone.

Meanwhile:

41 counties have zero hospitals.

72 counties? No OBGYNs.

48 counties? No pediatricians.

But sure, let’s eliminate another 20,000 healthcare jobs — because nothing says “fiscal responsibility” like forcing half the state to deliver babies in gas station parking lots.

At this point, they should just rebrand Kentucky’s healthcare system as DIY Medicine™:

Bring Your Own Doctor

Deliver Your Own Baby

Resuscitate Yourself on the Highway

Because apparently, if you can’t afford private helicopters, you don’t deserve healthcare anymore.
