North Carolina Proposes “Handmaid’s Tale but Make It Real” Bill—Effective July 1st

House Bill 804 just hit the floor in North Carolina, and let’s just say… Margaret Atwood is somewhere whispering “told you so.”

The bill bans all abortions. Period.

From the moment of conception. As in—before most people even know they’re pregnant.

Exceptions? Sure!

But only if the mother is at “severe” risk of dying.

Not mild risk. Not long-term health impacts.

And definitely not for rape, incest, or fatal fetal abnormalities.

Because apparently, the trauma isn’t complete unless the state gets to co-sign it.

If passed, this becomes law on July 1, 2025.

So while America is busy worrying about tariffs and tanks, North Carolina decided it’s time for wombs to become government property.

And don’t be fooled into thinking this is just one rogue state.

This is the blueprint.

The same people who scream “less government!” want full control over reproductive choices.

Here’s what that means in plain English:

Victim of rape? Forced birth.

12-year-old impregnated by a family member? Forced birth.

Terminal fetal condition that guarantees pain and suffering? Forced birth.

Can’t afford a baby? Doesn’t matter. Forced birth.

It’s not just cruel—it’s calculated.

The cruelty is the point.

So what can people do?

Blow up the phones of NC legislators.

Tell your friends.

Post about it.

Show up.

Because once it becomes law in North Carolina, it becomes a model for other states.

Forced birth is not freedom.

And if they can take away reproductive rights in one state, they can take them everywhere.

July 1st is the deadline. The clock’s ticking.
