Run the Country Like a Business"? You Sure About That?

People love saying Trump is running the country like a business, as if that’s automatically a good thing.

As if businesses are ethical, efficient, and always do right by the customer.

You ever been screwed over by a business before?

Because let me tell you about Verizon and how they tried to make me pay for an account I didn’t even open.

Someone stole my identity and opened an account in my name.

I went to three different Verizon stores, and they all told me, “Sorry, can’t help you.”

Customer service? A nightmare. A robot. A portal that never worked.

I filed a police report—Verizon still wouldn’t budge.

Two and a half months of stress, late bills, and frustration.

And guess what actually helped me?

A government agency—the FCC.

I filed a complaint with them, and within five minutes, I got a call from Verizon’s executive office.

Problem solved. Just like that.

So remind me again why we should run our government like a business?

Because businesses exist to make money off of you.

That’s their only goal. Not to help you. Not to protect you. Just to profit at your expense.

If we run our country like a business, guess what? You become the customer—except you don’t get good service.

You just get the bill.
