Tesla's Cybertruck Owners Face a Nightmare: No One Wants Their $100K "Cyber Beasts"
How bad has it gotten for Tesla Cybertruck owners? Real bad. So bad, in fact, that Tesla stores are now telling owners to not even bother bringing in their trucks as trade-ins. That's right, the same company that promised futuristic, bulletproof vehicles now has no interest in its own product.
Tesla’s message? "No thanks, we don’t want your Cybertruck." And if you want to get rid of it, just go through the lemon law process. Yes, you heard that correctly. They're advising customers to go through legal channels to deal with their defective vehicles because the stores are flat-out refusing them.
And it's not just a few disgruntled customers. Reports show Tesla's sitting on 24 unsold Cybertrucks, worth a staggering $200 million in unsold inventory. What’s causing this mess? Well, apart from the questionable demand for a $100K+ "futuristic" truck, there's also the issue of recalls. Nearly every Cybertruck built so far has been recalled due to a major defect where the door rail glue just falls off. Yup, a door rail glued together with failure. This is Tesla’s ninth recall in just the first year and a half!
So now, these owners are stuck with tens of thousands of dollars of "next-gen" trucks that can't be sold, plus concerns about vandalism on top of all the technical issues. Forget cruising through the streets in their sleek, cutting-edge trucks. Now, Cybertruck owners are literally just sitting on their $100K mistakes, hoping for a miracle.
Tesla's dream truck? More like a highly-priced disaster.
