Texas Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton — and, spoiler alert, it’s a drama fit for reality TV.

Here’s the latest on Texas Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton — and, spoiler alert, it’s a drama fit for reality TV.

His wife of 38 years just served him divorce papers, alleging cheating.

What does Paxton do? Instead of owning up, he blames the left — political attacks and public scrutiny — not his own adultery. Classic perpetual victim move.

Now that he’s gunning for a U.S. Senate seat against incumbent John Cornyn, his laundry list of scandals is back in the spotlight.

Quick recap:

  • Elected Attorney General in 2014.

  • Faced felony securities fraud charges early on.

  • Nearly a decade later, cut a deal to avoid trial by paying restitution and doing community service.

  • Impeached by the Texas House in 2023 for corruption, bribery, and abuse of office.

  • Acquitted by the super conservative Texas Senate.

  • Accusations include a shady quid pro quo with donors and firing staff who blew the whistle.

  • Weaponized his office to file dozens of lawsuits trying to overturn the 2020 election and Roe v. Wade.

  • Pushed Texas’ nation-leading strict abortion ban — aggressively targeting providers, hospitals, and even out-of-state doctors.

  • Worked with anti-abortion groups to find men willing to sue their partners over abortions — many of these men have histories of abuse.

The irony? Paxton’s now begging for privacy while he himself has relentlessly invaded others’ privacy through his legal crusades.

All this while playing the victim card like a pro.

Texas politics, folks: where the scandals never sleep.
