Trump Just Revived the International Slave Trade—And No One’s Talking About It
While the media is busy obsessing over polls and plane rides, Donald Trump is quietly dragging America back into the 19th century—by outsourcing mass incarceration for profit to a literal strongman regime.
Let’s break this down:
Trump signed a deal (again) with El Salvador’s authoritarian president Nayib Bukele.
Under this agreement, nonviolent migrants—including asylum seekers—are being deported to El Salvador, even if it’s not their home country.
In exchange, Bukele receives $20,000 per person per year to imprison them indefinitely, in facilities with no visitation, no recreation, and no release.
No charges. No trials. No due process.
And now, in the third phase of this deal, Trump wants to go a step further:
American citizens could be shipped to El Salvador's secretive super-prisons on the U.S. taxpayer’s dime. Tens of billions funneled into a foreign police state to do what the Constitution forbids at home.
This is not immigration policy.
It’s a for-profit gulag system.
It’s authoritarian outsourcing.
It’s trafficking.
And if Trump gets away with this, what’s next?
A country where being poor, undocumented, or inconvenient gets you disappeared across a border and locked up in a foreign prison with no hope of return?
Sound the alarm.

Because if the media won’t cover this, we have to.
