Trump’s Inconsistent Rants: Just Another Day of Misleading Americans
It's tough to watch, but the reality is—Donald Trump is completely losing it. And it's about time someone calls out the bullshit when it's this glaring.
Trump recently took to social media to slam Jerome Powell, the head of the Federal Reserve, for being "too late and wrong" on interest rates. If you're not familiar with Powell, he's in charge of the central bank—a completely independent institution. Trump, however, seems to think he has influence over the Fed, which he doesn't. Any informed American knows this, but clearly, that’s not the target audience of Trump's petty rants.
Here’s the real kicker: Trump insists that prices are down, even going so far as to mention groceries and eggs. Sure, inflation has cooled a bit, but those CPI reports are subject to change, and Trump’s claims don’t take into account the likely inflation rebound in the next few months. Yet, somehow, tariffs are being hailed as a victory.
But, here’s the bottom line: Trump’s policy led to these tariffs, and now he's upset that markets are reacting negatively. He can’t have it both ways.
What really gets under the skin is Trump’s inconsistency. He’s upset that Powell might get fired, but the Fed’s independence is key to stability. Trump seems to be pushing a narrative to mislead the public—and it's only frustrating people, even some Republicans.
Calling out the bullshit doesn’t mean you hate Trump, it means recognizing when something is off—and this is definitely one of those times.
