Why History Rhymes: The "Fourth Turning" Crisis
They say history rhymes, but doesn’t repeat—because history moves in cycles. And right now, we’re smack dab in the middle of what’s called the Fourth Turning. This is a crisis period for the United States, one of those rare, once-in-a-lifetime upheavals that shake everything to its core.
What is the Fourth Turning?
The Fourth Turning is a concept that describes a period of complete societal breakdown and mistrust in institutions. Everyone’s fracturing into their own echo chambers, unable to agree on much of anything.
We’ve been headed here since the 2008 Great Recession, and now it feels like chaos is the new normal.
What’s Next?
The crisis is expected to climax and resolve between 2028 and 2033—but what it looks like in the end could be anything. A second U.S. Constitution? A massive shift in the global financial system? A complete reworking of society? We’ll all find out together as we ride this wave.
Why Does It Feel Like Everything’s Falling Apart?
This is the Fourth Turning in action. It's supposed to feel crazy. Societal upheaval and breakdown are part of the cycle—nothing lasts forever, and we’re at the tipping point.
Buckle up—this is a ride that’s just beginning. Follow for more on the Fourth Turning and how it’s shaping our future.
